How to Plan a Prom

Prom is a major event among high school students. How to plan a prom which can exist in your memory? Follow these steps and your prom will be a night to remember.

1. Put together a prom committee of dedicated students. Discuss budget, decorations, menu, safety and entertainment. And you can aslo ask for advice from last year's prom committe.

2.Create a budget and settle on a theme for prom.

3.Find a location for the prom and book it. You should determine the following checklist: How is the venue's sound capability? Can it handle a large band? Is there adequate parking? Are food, decorations and security included?
Hotels are popular for large high schools because they have ballrooms with dancing space. They can also cater meals. If you have limited budget, an auditorium or school gymnasium is also a good choice.

4. Hire a DJ or band to play during prom. Before hiring one, committee members have to listen to at least three bands or DJs. DJs are often less expensive than a full band, but make sure he has up-to-date music library.

5. Hire a caterer and photographer when you set the prom date.
